Just bought my tickets for Newcastle and Glasgow YMAS/KIGH tour. But I’m not happy. Even though I only placed 1 order, they charged £3.95 postage per ticket. The tickets themselves only cost £19, but add on all the extras and postage, 2 tickets came to £50.90. Rip off. How much does it cost for a stamp and envelope these days?

YMAS V KIGH
Lately I’ve been thinking about what makes one band more popular than an other. Take YMAS and KIGH. KIGH just played the most amazing tour, but it surprised me the size of venues they were playing and they weren’t even sold out. Their album only got to number 27 whereas YMAS got to number 3. The day KIGH played Glasgow (a gig that had to be downgraded) YMAS had over 300 people queueing...
So if Kids In Glass Houses are supporting You Me At Six, I’m already wondering which dates I can go to. Glasgow is a given, but I’m thinking I could probably do Liverpool and Newcastle as well.

There's no such thing as a fairytale
Blitz Kids were by far the best support band on KIGH tour. They were amazing both nights I saw them. I ended up buying the album Vagrants and Vagabonds, and I cannot stop listening to it. Brilliant.

The KIGH Glasgow gig has apparently been moved to the (smaller venue) ABC. I’m not sure how I feel about this. I know how much they wanted to headline the Barrowland - Iaian even mentions it in last weeks Kerrang. Plus I saw them support FFAF there in 2007. So it would be amazing to see them headline there.
But on the other hand, I like the ABC and I’ve never seen them play there....
9.25pm and still…NOTHING.

So, I decided to sell 2 tickets to alan carr on ebay. I clearly stated that payment had to be made within 2 days. The sale ended on thursday and I sent the winner the invoice. Friday…nothing. Saturday…nothing. So I actually ended up emailing them and saying if they didn’t pay by this morning I would offer it to someone else.

I’m writing this as we travel at 120km/h on an Egyptian highway, I’m yet to figure out the rules of driving but our driver is doing a surprising amount with his lights off, it’s pitch black apart from the stereo and my phone so as you can imagine it’s terrifying but I assume this is normal…
